Keep the horror away from me!

How funny, funny, funny that those boys laughed!! Right out loud. In front of you. Glad the Shining at least left some kind of impression ;-)

xoxo,
bethMe, You, or Elliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13159195620327366257noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4146073139129271180.post-2102993328168103692011-10-27T11:05:24.780-07:002011-10-27T11:05:24.780-07:00Too funny! This weekend Bill and Rosa introduced ...Too funny! This weekend Bill and Rosa introduced me to "The Orphanage", a Guillermo del Toro movie. He is a Mexican director who now lives in Spain, and he's done Pan's Labyrinth and a bunch more. His movies are often about ghosts/otherworld stuff, have a lot of Catholic symbols and are often about children who are missing a parent or two, usually their dad. "The Orphanage" was good horror, weird horror, soft horror - but, I thought about it for days afterward! It's my speed in my old age...Also, it's in Spanish and subtitled, which adds to the suspense. del Toro has an interesting childhood story, too. Check him out!Karen Ketchupnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4146073139129271180.post-2388665358686744052011-10-27T10:12:05.568-07:002011-10-27T10:12:05.568-07:00He must be so excited for his favorite holiday com...He must be so excited for his favorite holiday coming up - where did he come from??? momMom Cnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4146073139129271180.post-90239998525619393322011-10-27T08:46:18.358-07:002011-10-27T08:46:18.358-07:00That photo is hysterical! I cannot do horror movies. The ones that ...Oh, God. I cannot do horror movies. The ones that scare me the most are the ones where I'm left to my own imagination. Although The Ring and The Grudge still haunt me to this day. When the girl started crawling out of the TV I swear I lost a little bit of my mind.Pickles and Dimeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14552386798256895855noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4146073139129271180.post-70718684177863104122011-10-27T07:13:50.418-07:002011-10-27T07:13:50.418-07:00Oh. My. God. Jacquie, this is brilliant.
Why are ...Oh. My. God. Jacquie, this is brilliant.

Why are not the children scared? Don't they know what could happen to them? Well, I actually don't know either, since I've never watched *any* of those movies, but still.

But this is my favorite:

Unbeknownst to me and my unfortunate companion, my dad* was watching from the doorway behind us. Of course he screamed when Jason burst through the surface of that water, who wouldn’t?

You guys must have levitated straight up off the couch when you heard a manly scream from *behind* you. I'm crying laughing. Mostly crying, though, at the thought of the damage you must have done to your poor heart muscles.

Brilliant post. And now excuse me while I go turn on every light in the house.

xxEllieMe, You, or Elliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13159195620327366257noreply@blogger.com
