And it is idyllic. A terrific place to spend your childhood.

My mom (re)bought a house there a few years back, so I've been spending some time there each summer, introducing my own kids to the wonders of the village.

I actually have an Aurora post coming up, and my mom is going to guest blog regarding Aurora as well.

Stay tuned!

P.S. I love Ithaca.

BethMe, You, or Elliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13159195620327366257noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4146073139129271180.post-28428408078067042742008-10-09T22:58:00.000-07:002008-10-09T22:58:00.000-07:00Wow those are some fabulous pics. PD was born up there (well, Ithaca) and spent his childhood making annual happy summer visits to Wells and Lake Cayuga, and we try to swing by at least every year or two. In a word: Idyllic. (Perhaps a tiny bit over-polished lately by the "American Girl" doll woman who bought most of the lakeside properties and tried to turn it into an American Girl Disneyworld... but still lovely, and we understand she is on her way out...). This is one of those 1-degree of separation things, isn't it?! Cornfields and sunflower fields... kind of the upstate NY version of Nebbie.
