Hospitality

I'm late posting today because I had an appointment this morning. An appointment in a lovely setting. So lovley, in fact, with its impressive entrance adorned with indoor palm trees:

its invitng salons:

stately grand player piano:

outdoor fountains:

and majestic floral arragnements:

that you'd never guess it's a hospital.
.
Would you?
.
I kind-of feel guilty going to a hospital that's so pleasant, especially when so many of the world's inhabitants don't have access to any health care, not even a village shaman, let alone a state-of-the-art university hospital, but you've got to admit it does make going in for any given procedure a little more appealing and a little less sterile. (yes, pun intended.)

  1. I recognized it right away... of course, I once spent 3 hours wandering those hallways, lounging in sun soaked leather sofas in between needle sticks during a godforsaken GTT. Did you get to peek at the wee one?

  2. I did get to peek, and she's gorgeous! Okay, well she looks a little like an alien, but still. She's my alien, and I love her anyway :-)

I recently endured the 3 hour GTT there too, and I get to do it again, in about 8 weeks...as I say, at least it's a nice setting.

  5. I thought it was the hospital in MA that I've been to. It must be run by the same corporation, because it's almost identical, piano and all. Hey, every hospital needs a piano, right?
