Sideways

As you may or may not know, Mistah is an avid photographer. And there's nothing he likes shooting more than the Moon.

Isn't that a lovely full moon?

Actually, that's not entirely accurate. There's nothing he likes shooting more than the Moon-and-Venus.

Cool, huh?

Actually, that's not entirely accurate either. There's nothing Mistah likes shooting more than the Moon-and-Venus, with a hand-held 30-second exposure, while drinking a glass of wine.

Now that's cool.

All of a sudden recognizable shapes become distorted and foreign . . .

. . . and all of a sudden . . .

. . . the moon looks like a dove, and Venus looks like Pegasus, that magical ol' winged horse . . .

.  . . especially sideways.

Now poor ol' Pegasus is caught in a cloud storm . . .

. . . but he looks like he may find his way to the sun, er, moon, afterall.

It's all about perspective, really. Some things, when you look at them right -- or at night, with a hand-held 30-second exposure and a glass of wine . . .

. . . they just look cooler.

Especially sideways.
