work it

We have entered a delightful new phase in family photo taking! Gone are the scowls and the stinkeye. Gone are the squirms of protest and admonishing glares. My kids are suddenly supermodels, eager and anxious to pose for my wandering eye.

We found ourselves in a picturesque place on Sunday, and I said so. They did not mock! They did not protest! They offered themselves to the camera gods.

Behold!

Okay, so she is double checking to make sure that they really are going with it

A moment of doubt? Reckoning? Acquiescence?

All in, baby.

Work it

Oh dear, are we losing focus?

Naaaaaah

wait.....where'd they go?

Oh, okay! We're working it and working out

Nice form, girlfriend

Moving along, to the other side of the lake and an impromptu staging opportunity

Opportunity to...

Work it.

  1. I can't get over those children of yours. They used to be so *wee* and now they are so *gigantic*. Wha' happeen?

They're both absurdly gorgeous, I love their outfits, especially your boy's shoes, and their expressions in the last shot? Weirdly awesome albeit slightly scary.

We were *thinking* about you three yesterday (knowing Mr. Can was suffering on the couch in front of the Chargers on tv) as *we* were out and about on an adventure (sadly, camera-less). You'll be happy to know the three of you all got voted into our "What 10 people do you wish were here with us?" party.

    Love you peeps.
    Miss you desperately.

  2. Love those posers of yours!!

Where, pray tell, is that picturesque place that serves as the background to your oh-so-rapidly-maturing children?

Looks like a good weekend ;-) Although perhaps you might have had a tad bit more fun if you were at Ellie and Bill's 10-people-you-wish-were-here-with-us party.

  5. I forgot to even *exclaim* about hogging THREE of your valued 10 spaces! I'm so honored. Chollas Lake would be a perfect place to have a westy mash up.

  6. Well, we *sort of* included Mr. Can, too, but we decided he would have been inside watching the game, instead of out by the fire by the big field with the vibrant foliage colors and the fake Halloween graveyard with us.......

  7. Don't worry about hurting Bill's feelings, he doesn't read the blog.

And if you're lurking, honey, speak up! It's kind of embarrassing that my only ever comments are from my co-bloggers and our mothers.
