Be Invited

If I had one piece of advice to give my kids . . .

Wait a minute. I don't have kids!

Okay, if I had one piece of advice to give all the kids in all the world, I'd give this advice . . .

Be Invited.

Get Invited.

Be kind, be wonderful, be generous, be gracious, do the dishes, help with the clean-up, grill the burgers, clean the kitchen, do whatever it takes.

Because if you do . . . .

. . . you will get invited to parties at places like this.

And that, my children, is a very good thing.

    I have unexpectedly been invited to three things in the past two weeks and it made me feel so loved.

    Well, Ellie, you are the queen of being wonderful, generous, gracious, doing the dishes, helping with the clean-up, grilling the burgers, cleaning the kitchen, and doing whatever it takes, so I know that you are invited to many, many parties, and many many amazing places.

    In fact, why don't you come to my little bday party tonight?? It's at Lynn's house.

    love that first shot deeply. who wouldn't invite you?? It's not like you crashed through the screen door at beth's bday party,after all. who would do that?!
