Peace Out

When one attends the wedding of one of one's oldest, closest, loveliest, dearest friends, it's exciting and nerve-wracking and joyful and blissed-out, and at its start, it looks like this:

And then the best man walks down the aisle -- another old, close, lovely friend -- and he looks like this:

Aw, Louie.

And then the bride and groom walk themselves down the aisle and they look like this:

There is a reason tissues were invented.

The wedding guests were wild about the stars of the show.  Scott and Linda. Our bride and groom. Our very own gorgeous couple . . .

. . . our friends.

And just like that . . . *bam* . . . the deed was done.

Husband and Wife.

Forevah.

Can you even stand it?

Can you??

Scott's dad Adeeb is one of my favorites on the planet. As is Scottie's cousin Jennifer . . .

. . . as are Scott's sisters . . .

. . . as is Aunt J., everybody's Sittoo. We are Lebanese brethren, my people and I. Solidarity.

The old friends . . .

. . . all those peeps I've known for 35 years . . .

. . .  they were everywhere, and they were gorgeous.

And the flowers were gorgeous . . .

. . . and the room was spectacular.

And the friends?

Oh, I've already mentioned the friends.

And then there was Julie.

Julie is a Force of Nature who will not be denied.

Scottie's family . . .

. . . and his nieces and nephews . . .

. . .  they were spectacular and gorgeous and smart and beautiful and I crashed many photos.

There was kicking . . .

. . .  and dancing . . .

. . . oh, there was a lot of dancing:

We were a dancing peoples.

And then . . .

. . . ooooh things got crazy.

What's a Lebanese wedding without a conga line?

. . . or a bride who belly dances?

 . . . with her new cousins?

We waltzed . . .

. . . we reunited . . .

. . . we reacquainted . . .

. . . we drank . . .

. . .  we got down . . .

. . . but mostly . . .

. . . we celebrated our new favorite couple.

Congrats, Scott and Linda. Love and Light and Happiness and Bliss.

Peace out.

  1. This is so great what fun to see those familiar faces slightly changed. Except Scott, he looks exactly the same. I love all the photos of you, sister. #38 is such an ellie dance floor love face. I can't help but notice that in both photo #20 (with julie) and #28 (with the bride) you appear to be going in for the double boob squeeze. Is that acceptable wedding behavior???

    lol all the livelong.

  2. #38? Really? Yeesh. Thanks for your patience, peeps.

I *definitely* was going in for the boobs in the Julie shot. But never, ever, would I go in for the bride's. I've got way more class than that.
