. . . and so, miraculously, was the sun.
It has been a long run around here without that orb brightening our days, and we were all delirious with joy.
I even had a sister-friend in the house . . .
. . . our lovely Eldest . . .
Cheer up, MB.
And My Girl Nancy joined the festivities . . .
. . . as did a sister-in-law or two . . .
"Life is Good."
There were tours of The Field . . .
. . . really, it is quite a Field.
And there were burger masters mastering burgers . . .
. . . and here please imagine the photo I should have taken of the spread: burgers, dogs, lobster mac-'n'-cheese, bean salad, chopped salad, fruit salad, deviled eggs.
OH MY GOD I FORGOT TO SERVE THE CHIPS.
And the pickles. Sigh.
And then when even the lower 40 were in shadow, we hit the front porch . . .
. . . where Mom and MB channeled their inner Evitas.
"Don't cry for me, Argentina . . . "
Those two really should rule a country or two.
They'd sure look good doing it.
It was a Day for the Ages. What a Time we had.
Look: I'll prove it:
Right??
An epic Sunday Funday Mother's Day Sun Day.
Those Evita photos are the bomb!
ReplyDeleteWhat a festive mother's day you all had. Even without the chips or the pickles!
