But does that stop me? Oh, noooooo, sir. No, it does not.
As you can see.
We had the great good fortune to go on a Field Trip with friends who -- although we love and are fully devoted to -- have never risked actually going away with.
But everything worked out just fine.
Why yes, there was some drinking involved . . .
. . . and we even picked up another friend along the way . . .
. . . but mostly it was the four of us . . .
. . . stuck together like glue . . .
. . . with (bad) selfies every step of the way to prove it.
See?
And there it is. There's the stuff. The impetus, the reason, the Field Trip Focus.
Nick Offman as Ignatius J. Reilly.
I'll never look at Ron Swanson the same way again.
And then, just like that, our final selfie on the train home. Sigh.
What did we take away from our Field Trip, you ask?
Let's ask The Man himself:
“With the breakdown of the medieval system, the gods of chaos, lunacy, and bad taste gained ascendancy.” ― Ignatius J. Reilly, A Confederacy of Dunces, John Kennedy Toole
