I love cut flowers, I think they have the ability to completely transform a room, but I don’t have fresh cut flowers in my home all that often. I’m not sure why, I guess I balk at the expense, mostly, and the fact that they never seem to last long enough (much like that first beer, weekends and summer).
This week, however, our house is awash in flower arrangements. There are more flowers here today than I’ve ever had in my home at one time, as far as I can remember.
We've got white stargazer lilys:
We've got mixed bouquets:
more than one:
We've got tulips:
AND, we've got Gerber daisys, with roses:
It's so very nice, such a spirit booster. I totally agree with John Ruskin who once said, "Flowers seem intended for the solace of ordinary humanity."

I'm so glad you are home enjoying the beautiful bouquets and not looking at them from your hospital bed!!
Thinking of you and hoping you've found some great things on hulu to entertain you while you're horizontal...old Charlie's Angels episodes are a start :-)

No blue daisies?
Lovely, Beth. I hope your house smells as good as it looks.

Very pretty flowers, Beth. Enjoy! Having pretty flowers scattered around the house is the main reason I break my back gardening every spring, summer and fall!
Very pretty, I'm partial to those tulips. My medical opinion is that the more time you spend in the backyard, the better! Of course, that means reclining on a chaise lounge rather than traipsing around taking photos of plants... but still!
I hope no one is expecting any sort of plant/garden/flower post out of ME, I got nuthin'.
