A Trip To Scott's

What does one do on a beautiful October day in Southeastern Connecticut, you ask?

Take a trip to Scott's, naturally.

You know the kind of place . . .

piles of gourds . . .

. . . and apples . . .

. . . and peppers . . .

. . . and more gourds.

It's the kind of place that people imagine when they hear the word "autumn".

Even the chickens have autumnal earth tones . . .

. . . handsome devils, aren't they?

But for me, it's all about the gourds.

I love the gourds.

I'm a big fan of the gourds.

And I especially love multi-colored piles of gourds.

And when the exhaustion of shopping for gourds and pumpkins and apples hits . . .

. . . well, one can relax with a nice-gourd-filled luncheon.

Or wait, I've got an even better idea. There's a little place right up the road . . .

Happy Harvest!

Wow, what a great post to take us from Halloween to after, to pre-Thanksgiving, I guess, to the bounty of fall.

It doesn't look much different around these parts -- it's so awesome to get some new England autumn vicariously though you, E!

Thanks for sharing ;)
