Christmas in San Diego, 2001 |
It took My Girl Nancy about 17 seconds to discover that although we didn't have enough people to make a pyramid, a cooler would make a fine substitute......
Summer in Watch Hill, 2011 |
She's ingenious, My Girl Nancy.
She's also really good at asking strangers to take photos.
No matter where we are: the beach, the deck, the ottoman, Nancy yells, "Photo Shoot!" and everyone falls into position.
The dunes at Watch Hill?
Why not?
She sets the camera up on a cooler, she sets the camera up on a chair, she sets the camera up on a deck railing. To the same successful result:
Pyramid!

Now is that an Oscar cooler? hee hee hee.
You're looking good, Ellie! As is Nancy and her whole crew. Love the shots. However, where oh where was Mistah? It's not like him to miss a photo shoot.

Good question, Beth. It was My Girl Nancy's birthday and I zipped out to Watch Hill to meet the Birthday Girl & Co. in the afternoon but, alas, Mistah was working.
He *did* get home in time to see everybody, and take us all out to ice cream in the Westy, though. So all wasn't lost.

Working? Do tell!
Mistah's been doing his freelance writing-and-photography thing for years now. That day it bit him in the butt.
