appliance

My heart is pounding and I am having trouble concentrating. It’s a huge decision... to replace the being at the very center of our family unit! It nourishes us; it is our gallery and the hub of all communication. It keeps treats and dangers far out of reach.

Recently, the once comforting and familiar hum has begun to sound like an unsatisfied moan. It has produced textures, colors and smells that make us question its integrity and intentions. We think it is saying goodbye.

It still stands proudly, dressing in a manner that compliments its shape while camouflaging its flaws. There’s a photo carefully arranged to cover the scar from where it was unceremoniously whacked with a baseball bat on the very day we brought it home.  The marks from years of being grabbed by loving hands are impossible to erase. Those parts that once shone bright white are now tired and grey even after the heartiest scrubbing.

We'll miss our old pal.

But did someone say beer crisper?

Hello, new pal!

Oh, yes. The inimitable beer-crisper. Makes it *so* easy for children to fetch beers for their parents, without leaving those french doors wide open!

She's gorgeous, Jacqueline, spectacular. But is she stainless steel? Are your days as a fridge-as-a-photo-galler over??

*Love*.

Oh my, Corey humor so early in the mornin' - what a treat.

I'm with MB, I'd anxious to meet your new pal too. I simply must check out the beer crisper -- give your chitlins a break on the fetching for a bit.

xoxox,
Beth

I meant to write more about how I am paralyzed with indecision, I hope it will be here before you arrive, MB. I'm going to look at it in the proverbial flesh sometime today.
