Small is beautiful

I'm not sure why this particular trip to the doctor's office inspires poetry, but it does.

My breakfast eggs have all been eaten
It's time for the ladies to take a beatin'
To the cold, gray, machine we go
The technician moving them to and fro
Once positioned to just the right height
She'll bring down that lever cold and tight
And walk away and flick the switch
While reprimanding me not to twitch
She'll then return to switch them out
But I won't yell and I won't shout
For in addition to the preventative care
My breasts are actually a perfect pair
They're small and drained and silicon free
Not big or dense, so the docs can see
Anything that may be wrong
They'll notice it, it won't take long
There's not a lot going for boobs A-sized
But on mamogram day they're the prize

I don't know, I often feel that if I had more tissue to smoosh, it would be a little less painful to have my protruding bits made to be horizontal.

Hope your girls get a clean report!

Aw, I love it! Good on ya, getting a mammogram in October, what a friend of mine once called "breast cancer month." I said, "Um, it's breast cancer awareness month, dude."
