The Trails

Provincetown is more than just dive bars bar and a walk on the beach, you know.

It's also about the Province Lands Bike Trails.

Oh, how I love those bike trails.

Mistah and I spent hours and hours and hours out on the bike trails on Sunday afternoon, and we -- well, he -- got a little shutterbug-crazy.

It was impossible not to, because it was, simply, spectacular.

The trees looked alive . . .

. . . and the dunes were rolling . . .

. . . and the foliage was out in full force.

We found ourselves a nice little spot for lunch . . .

. . . not such a bad spot at all . . .

A Man and his Sea

Cape Cod Chips. Natch.

And then, after fortifying ourselves, back on the trails . . .

the clouds . . .

. . . the sea . . .

the foliage . . .

. . . the absolute in-the-momentness, the why-would-we-want-to-be-anywhere-else feeling.

We didn't want to be anywhere else.

Plus it smelled so good out there. Like Fall. With saltwater in the background.

The Trails are a perfect place to celebrate 20 years of matrimonial bliss . . .

. . . blissful as they are . . .

. . . and beautiful . . .

. . . and dreamy.

Some of my favorites are the shots Mistah snapped-while-bike-riding:

And then, back to the flatlands of Provincetown . . .

. . . and back to our room . . .

. . . and back to our view.

Nowhere else at all.

Wow, Ellie. Amazing! Truly.

I must share that I checked out the map to see how far it would be to drive from Aurora, NY to New London (just over six hours), and then from there to Provincetown (a few more). You are such an amazing tourism guide. Really, you should be paid!

Gorgeous - all of it, including, of course, you and your shutterbug partner. So glad you were so blissed out on your trip celebrating 20 years of marital bliss. Quite fitting!

xoxo,
Beth

I would love nothing more than to be out on those bike trails today. I'm really a little grumpy that I'm not.

Gorgeous photos, love.

What a lovely day! You really know how to celebrate 20 years together. If all goes well, we'll be celebrating our 20th on a bar stool at the Dutch next spring :-)
