Medium sky, with sand

Ellie's post of her Thanksgiving morning walk on the beach was so lovely, that I decided to copy her.

Below are some photos I captured during me and my girl's long beach walk last Thursday. She was the only daughter I had on Thanksgiving day this year - the older two were in central California hanging out with the cookie pusher (aka, Nana) and the rest of their dad's family.

My girl and I hooked up with my mom later in the day, and the three of us went to a lovely Thanksgiving dinner at my mom's dear friend's home, but this walk was just me and my littlest.

Have I mentioned how great the age of 6 is? I'm loving it. My girl is a joy to be around almost all of the time, and boy does she LUV me right now.  It's so fun, and such a big contrast to my 14-year-old girl's (mostly always) attitude toward me, but that's a post for another day.....

Today, in this sandy, medium sky blog post, it's just the two of us.

Did I tell you?

I do rock!!

Can't you just fee the gratitude and joy?

I love these two photographs --  her running, skipping joy and that gorgeous sky and those almost other worldly watery sand bars.

...sitting in a tree.....

I sure am grateful for this kid! Happy belated Thanksgiving to all.
