Desert moon

Part of my last weekend was spent in beautiful Anaheim, California. A city with very wide streets, thousands of strollers and terrible chi.

But this trip wasn't something I could wiggle out of, at least not totally, so there I was, with my two oldest daughters -- in Anaheim, headed into Disneyland.

Ready to be Dazzled.

By some crazy twist of events, just me and my middle daughter ventured into California Adventure together. We had fun. I can't deny it. The lines for many of the rides were reasonable, her company was delightful, and well, there's beer served in that park.

Toward the end of the evening she made it known that she really wanted to ride the Radiator Spring Racers ride. I have to admit, it's one of the very best rides in the park, maybe even my favorite, but the lines suck.

But we sucked up that suck and stood in line. For a long time. It was at least an hour. I got a bit edgy watching those "fast pass" folks cut into line in front of us, but finally we made it into the car.

And off we went.

Until we didn't.

But at least we had the desert moon to gaze upon...

And after a 15 or so minute delay, we were off to the races  - x2. They didn't even make us get out of our car, just sent us around the track again. I guess the line was actually the perfect length.

Radiator Spring Racers Ride, eh? Sounds . . . like a long line. But so glad you got to hang with Ms. M -- she's so adorable and so grown up, sigh.

Glad you had fun!

And glad there was beer.

A good way to do the Disney...a trial for all parents and grandparents.

Why didn't you fast pass? You can BE those people next time. Looks and sounds like a great time was had by all, hope A did well with the competition.
