Fire, No Ice

New Year's Day was gorgeous around these parts.

Have I mentioned that?

We had a spectacular day at the beach but can I tell you what? The party afterwards was fabulous. Sublime. Only Mr. Dibble would have the best party of the year on the first day of the year. He's just that annoying. But thankfully he brings his friends along, and they create their own kind of chaos. And Mistah? Well he was there to document the whole shebang:

It wasn't Mexico or Hawaii . . .

. . . and we didn't have our own towel-clad hero to light the mountain torches for us . . .

. . . but we certainly had our own population of worshipers paying tribute to the God of Fire . . .

It's the 9th. Which is *not* too late to say Happy 2012, peeps.

And hey, let those fires burn bright.

Burn, baby, burn.

Awesome photos! (as per Mistah's usual). Party looked pretty good too, and I totally agree, the 9th is NOT to late to say Happy New Year.

Happy New Year, Elie!

You can say Happy New Year right up until the day you say Gung Hay, Fat Choy. Love those group silhouettes in front of the fire, y'all look like hellraisers.
