Scenes From OpSailfest

On Saturday morning, the Tall Ships -- albeit late sailing in -- were lovely.

America's Tall Ship -- whose home port is our very own New London -- led the way.

Oh, that Barque Eagle.

But we'll talk more about those gorgeous Tall Ships in a few days.

In the meantime . . .

The beach was gorgeous . . .

. . . oh how gorgeous.

And the boom-booms boom-boomed along their merry way . . .

Boom.

Boom.

Boom.

 Boom.

And New London showed off its usual awesomeness:

The new murals are fabulous . . .

. . . the beverages were delish . . .

. . . and the company -- and the weather -- was fantastic . . .

And oh, those Tall Ships.

On Monday morning I made a quick detour on my bike to have one last look at the Barque Eagle and her Brazilian friend, Cisne Branco, docked at Fort Trumbull.

Oh, those Tall Ships.

Obrigado, Brazil.

Wouldja look at all those pretty flags?!

And MB's cool fireworks event shirt?

And all those boom booms?

There's always something cool to see in New London it seems.

And lucky Jacquie will be there to witness it all firsthand soon ;-)

Beth
