Vacation

We had ourselves a good old-fashioned vacation last week.

 That's a Triple . . .

 . . . and that's a Quad.

Seriously. That's what we did. After we finished body surfing in the Atlantic waves, we did some serious watching of the Atlantic waves . . .

. . . with refreshments.

We had the perfect perch in the perfect room . . .

. . . with cool views all hours of the day . . .

. . . sunrise? Check.

. . . stormy day? Exactly.

It was disconcerting to feel so happy with and so in love with a body of water that is wreaking such havoc several hundred miles south of us. We are so worried for all our Caribbean and Florida friends.

But without Hurricane Irma up here on our northern shores, we loved that Atlantic get-away . . .

 Oh, hi, Tay-Tay . . .

 Oh, hi, me . . .

I mean, right?

Oh, hi Mistah . . .

. . . see him up there??

It was awesome and we never wanted to leave.

And although we are ridiculously luckily not in the path of that fierce storm, we did come home to the results of a weird microsystemtornadothing.

Oof, that's our oak . . .

. . . a once-mighty oak . . .

. . . and that's a big-ass limb in our Field.

But thankfully?

We have a Mr. Dibble to come our rescue . . .

. . . and he brings tools.

Okay! So now that we're all chopped up and cleaned up . . .

. . . can we go back to the beach?
