Hamilton Hangover

Recent days start here

I just can't even. I know you know this, everyone knows this. But really? It *is* all that. It was. My girl and I had been looking forward to this date for months, ever since the day the stars had aligned to provide an instant of great fortune for this a certain verified fan in the form of an opportunity to purchase very expensive tickets to Hamilton right here in San Diego.

We got a little dressed up, cuz we fancy.

We grabbed a bite at our fave Indian spot across the street from the theater

And then? It was time.

fangirl without shame

The bartender said, here's a HamilTEN

obligatory

Our seats were great, front row of dress circle on the aisle = no obstructing heads

We laughed, we cried, we sang quietly under our breath. We (I) cried more. We (I) spilled a little and used up my tissues.

afterglow
We (I) sang very loudly in the uber ride home, permagrin firmly on face.

Bottom line, people? Go see Hamilton. It's worth it, I promise. If nothing else, you'll have an excuse to Rise Up!

and dress like a 12 year old boy for work the next day
All day yesterday Clara and I texted back and forth with screenshots of the songs we were crying to. She told me to stop crying at work, but I didn't listen.

Could you *BE* more adorable?

I don't think so. Nope. You could not.

First of all, you two are two peas in one pod.

Second of all, I'm so happy it was all the things.

Most of all, it's great to have one's expectations met. And to have them exceeded is even better. But to celebrate the life and the love and the night and the event and to have done all that -- to have planned such a fantastic night *before* you even knew it was going to exceed those expectations -- well, that's my favorite part. If it was good, it would have been great. But because it was extraordinary?

Well, just go ahead and read your blog. Or your emails.

Love you Big, Sister-O-Mine. Way to crush it.
