Weekend Photo Project: our favorite veterans

Did I ever tell you about that time when Dad was drafted? It's an epic saga:  Read all about it

Dad was my favorite veteran, too, but I think that's the only shot of him in uniform! But he would have loved Game Day yesterday. Although a reluctant soldier, he loved the hardware, and the USS Vinson shone on Veterans' Day night. As did San Diego.

My favorite veteran is the one in the front on the right, the good-looking one with the light uniform. Not sure where this WWII shot was taken though....Germany?

The picture of Roger taken in England where stationed with his B 17 squadron. He was the waist gunner on the plane and was shot down twice.

I love this picture - Dad was a reluctant soldier, drafted at age 35, with 5 kids - who wouldn't be? He served his country well and loved being a veteran... Mom
