Pink and Yellow and Purple

It's spring around here these days. And you know what that means.

Rain. Lots and lots of rain.

And you know what that means.

Spectacular blossoms on every corner.

And you know what that means.

Pollen. Achoo!

But let's focus on neither the torrential downpours nor the flying microscopic allergens. Let's have a look instead at those flowers and trees, in full bloom, wherever you look . . .

The magnolias have been spectacular . . .

. . . they were everywhere.

. . . as were the, um, pink weeping willows.

Ledge Light's cousin New London Light looked lovely in her light pink finery.

It's been a very pink spring.

A yellow spring, too.

Pink, yellow, and my personal favorite: purple.

Our purple irises have been majestic. Fabulous. Iridescent and aglow and opalescent. They've lit up the entire neighborhood.

Sun? We don't need no stinkin' sun.

Beautiful pictures, but I disagree about the stinkin' sun. I need it so I can have Bill + Ellie deck time!

you bite your tongue Miss "we don't need no stinkin' sun"!

my poor 10 yr old has worn the same track meet shirt to school 3(!) days in a row and all 3(!) days the damn rain has canceled the district elementary track meet. (including today!)

Please come back Mr. Sun...beautiful flowers be damned :)

Aw, it's *so* purdy. I hope you get to dry out soon. As it were.

love you!

What's up with the pink weeping willow? It's fabulous. And your Irises surely are majestic.

I'm not a fan of rain, buy, hey, if it's going to rain, those purdy flowers do help to justify it, now don't they?

Hope you see the sun today, and if not today, then tomorrow ;-)
