I love my husband, I love my children, and I love vacations, but sometimes one of the nicest parts of a family vacation is the rare moment or two spent alone.
This week marks our first official family vacation. The first time I've packed up for three kids for a week plus away. The first time we've all piled into the car for an 8-hour
And it's been good. Very good.
But still.
I'm so happy to be alone, on this patio, at this moment, staring at the majestic red rocks of Sedona. Alone. (Did I already say that?)
I'm so glad baby girl is sleeping peacefully inside and the bigger girls are off hiking and swimming with T and their uncle and cousins. Everyone is in their happy place.
And my only job, at this moment, is to drink this cold, cold Corona, take in the scenery and delve farther into my book.....
Gotta love these family vacations.

Sedona? Corona? (Oh, that sounds like that Beach Boys song) Baby Girl? Sounds blissful.
Take photos, now, Beth. Blog fodder for you and joyous cuteness for us.

ahh...just knowing that someone is enjoying some peace right now, somewhere, anywhere, makes me smile :)
ENJOY!
wish I was there, not hiking, not sleeping, oh...but then you would have the lovely solitude you deserve...I guess I'll just wait a month.
Glad the vacation is going well.
Love, Mom
Sorry left out the NOT

That sounds like pure loveliness, Beth! How's my new pony doing?
