First Signs . . .

All of a sudden, the First Signs of Spring are everywhere.

There's Spring Training.

Let's Go Mets!
.
There are the UConn women tearing it up all over the court. 33-0 going into the NCAA tournament.
.
Go UConn!
.
And the UConn men? Well, what can one say about the UConn men? I think the only thing more excrutiating than staring at my laptop from 9 p.m. until 1:30 a.m. last night, "watching" UConn lose in the Big East Tournament in Sextuple Overtime -- that's 6 -- would be being at Madison Square Garden itself, watching it live, which is where MB and The Dowd were.
.
Sextuple Overtime. Ach. Sorry, kids.
.
Anyway, back in our 'hood, while there is still some of this:
.
and some more of this:

there is also, finally, for first time this year, some of this:

and this:

and, well, just this:

You were right, Lisa S. It's a crocus love fest out there. And not a moment too soon.
.
But, man. Those poor Huskies.

Oh, wow, you have spring flowers? Man, we still have at least six or eight more weeks until we see some of those! I am soooo jealous!

Those photos look much like my front yard-- the wall and the Autumn Joy but alas, only crocus foliage. There is a lone hyacinth fully open in my front bed.

And those Huskies, ach! Well at least I got some cleaning and paper sorting done at that ridiculous hour. Then, of course, sleep wouldn't come.

Thank goodness somebody is seeing spring somewhere! And thanks for sharing; hopefully those photos'll get me by until spring makes it to Germany.
